This restaurant is a throwback to the 1950s, heyday of the American diner. Reservations are not accepted, so if you visit during a breakfast or lunch rush, expect a wait. But patience, as they say, is rewarded. Those all-American day-starters are available, including buttermilk pancakes, bacon and eggs and other hearty breakfast fare. Most breakfast plates are $5 or less. For lunch try the meatloaf ($5.50), a burger or fried fish ($5).
